Terms of Service
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Who these terms are with
Syllabus2Calendar is operated by Open Planner LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we”, “us”). By using Syllabus2Calendar you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to use Syllabus2Calendar.
The service
Syllabus2Calendar reads the syllabi you upload, extracts courses, deadlines and grade weights, generates suggested study sessions, and produces a standard calendar (.ics) file you can import into Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. There are no accounts: your work is tied to an anonymous session stored in your browser, along with a recovery code you can use to return to a purchase.
Your responsibility to review
You are responsible for reviewing every extracted date before exporting. The service may make extraction or scheduling mistakes. Your syllabus — and any update from your instructor or learning-management system — remains the authoritative source. Always confirm changes announced in class, by email, or in your LMS.
No academic guarantee
Syllabus2Calendar does not guarantee academic outcomes, grades, or that any deadline shown is correct or complete.
Payment
Pricing is $4.99 for Single Course (1 syllabus upload), or $19.99 for Full Semester (up to 6 courses), charged once at the time of purchase in USD. This is not a subscription and nothing recurs. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
A purchase adds upload credits to your session. One credit unlocks one syllabus — its full study schedule and its calendar export. Credits are usable in the session where they were bought and, using your recovery code, for 7 days afterward. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or resold, and expire when the recovery window closes.
Unlocking and export are verified on our servers against your purchase record. Attempting to bypass that check is a breach of these terms.
Gift purchases and gift codes
Credits can be bought for someone else. A gift purchase produces a one-time gift code that adds credits to the session where it is redeemed. Gift codes are not cash, cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be resold, can be redeemed once, and stop working once redeemed or once the recovery window closes. Anyone holding the code can redeem it, so treat it like a receipt and share it only with the intended recipient. We are not responsible for codes shared, lost, or redeemed by someone else. Buying a gift does not give you access to the recipient’s uploads, calendar, or plan.
Refunds
Because a purchase immediately unlocks the schedule and calendar export, sales are final once a syllabus has been unlocked. If the service failed to deliver your calendar, charged you incorrectly, or you were double-charged, email admin@syllabus2calendar.com within 14 days of purchase with your payment reference and we will review and, where appropriate, refund the affected purchase. We do not refund purchases because a syllabus contained errors or was incomplete — reviewing the extracted dates before export is your responsibility.
A short summary of this policy lives on our Refunds & Returns page.
Acceptable use
Upload only documents you are permitted to upload. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass payment, or process files at a volume that degrades it for others.
You keep all rights in the files you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them, including sending them to our AI document-analysis provider, solely to produce your calendar. The Syllabus2Calendar name, logo, site content and software remain ours.
You confirm that you have the right to upload each file and that doing so does not infringe anyone’s copyright or other rights. If you believe material on the service infringes your copyright, email admin@syllabus2calendar.com identifying the material, your contact details, and a statement of your good-faith belief, and we will review and remove it where appropriate.
Automated output and AI
Extraction, study-block suggestions and the Semester Playbook are generated automatically and are suggestions only. They may be incomplete, mistimed, or wrong, and they are not academic, medical, or professional advice. You decide what to keep and what to put in your calendar.
Sessions and recovery codes
There are no passwords. Your recovery code is the only key to a purchased session, so keep it private — anyone who has it can reach that plan for the duration of the recovery window. Do not attempt to access, guess, or interfere with a session that is not yours. We may throttle or block requests that look like an attempt to do so.
Communications
If you give us an email address for a recovery link, a gift code, or a copy of the Semester Playbook, you agree we may send you that message and any directly related support reply. These are service messages, not marketing.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how long we keep it, and how to request deletion. It forms part of these terms.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Open Planner LLC against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or from files you upload without the right to do so, to the extent permitted by law.
Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We may change features, pricing, or these terms; changes apply to purchases made after they are posted. We may suspend access for anyone who breaches these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Open Planner LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including missed deadlines. Total liability is limited to the amount you paid.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Texas.
Before filing anything, email admin@syllabus2calendar.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
Trademarks
All university names, trademarks, service marks, logos, and other protected brand elements remain the property of their respective owners. Syllabus2Calendar is not affiliated with or endorsed by any university unless expressly stated otherwise. Where a university name or color appears on this site, it is used only to identify the intended student audience.
General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
